Constituencies
The Kwantlen Student Association’s bylaws provide for the representation of constituencies — groups that have traditionally faced systemic barriers in accessing post-secondary education — at Council. Each constituency also has a collective, to support the execution of social justice campaigns, and to support continuous dialogue about social justice issues on our campuses.
The Indigenous Students Constituency Representative is responsible for communicating the views and concerns of self-identified indigenous students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, to Council (the KSA’s board of directors). This representative ensures that the unique perspectives of indigenous students are considered in Council’s decision-making process.
The International Students Constituency Representative is responsible for communicating the views and concerns of self-identified international students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, to Council (the KSA’s board of directors). This representative ensures that the unique perspectives of international students are considered in Council’s decision-making process.
The Mature Students Constituency Representative is responsible for communicating the views and concerns of self-identified mature students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, to Council (the KSA’s board of directors). This representative ensures that the unique perspectives of mature students are considered in Council’s decision-making process.
The Queer Students Constituency Representative is responsible for communicating the views and concerns of self-identified queer students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, to Council (the KSA’s board of directors). This representative ensures that the unique perspectives of queer students are considered in Council’s decision-making process.
The Students of Colour Constituency Representative is responsible for communicating the views and concerns of self-identified students of colour at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, to Council (the KSA’s board of directors). This representative ensures that the unique perspectives of students of colour are considered in Council’s decision-making process.
