Constitution
The Kwantlen Student Association’s Constitution is its foundational document, and sets out the purposes of the student association. Some parts of the Constitution can be amended by special resolution (a motion passed, with notice, by a three-quarters majority at an AGM or SGM).

Bylaws
The Kwantlen Student Association’s Bylaws set out the structure of the student association, and basic rules by which Council (the KSA’s board of directors) must operate. The Bylaws can be amended by special resolution (a motion passed, with notice, by a three-quarters majority at an AGM or SGM).

Regulations
The Kwantlen Student Association’s Regulations are the operational rules of the student association, and are designed to ensure that the KSA operates in a way that is accountable and transparent to the membership. The Regulations can be amended by a two-thirds resolution of Council.

Privacy Policy
The Kwantlen Student Association has a Privacy Policy that sets out how the KSA collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information and privacy of its employees, volunteers, contractors, members, and students.

Issues Policies
Council takes positions on a number of issues that matter to the students of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. These positions (or policy statements) set a framework within which members of Council can lobby and advocate on students’ behalves. Issues policies may be adopted, for up to three (3) years at a time, by a two-thirds resolution of Council.

Current Resolutions
In addition to the types of rules set out above, the membership can also adopt resolutions at general meetings, or by referendum, that provide guidance to Council or that ask that the KSA take a position on a certain issue. These resolutions can be adopted by the members at an AGM or SGM.
