This is the formal announcement period when candidates can declare their intention to run for a position. It includes specific dates and times for nomination submissions and outlines any pre-check deadlines for reviewing nomination packages.

Nomination Package

The package contains detailed instructions and requirements for candidates. Key components include:

• Eligibility Criteria: Requirements to be met by candidates, like membership status and age.
• Checklist: Ensuring compliance with all nomination requirements, such as obtaining necessary signatures.
• Election Rules and Guidelines: Information on campaign regulations, poster sizes, expenses, and prohibitions.
• Forms and Declarations: Necessary documents to be completed and submitted by candidates, including a Candidate Declaration form.
• Deadlines and Information: Specific deadlines for various stages of the election and guidelines for candidate statements and photographs.

Key Dates

1. Nomination Pre-Check Deadline: January 23rd at 12:00 pm (Noon).
2. Nomination Deadline: January 30th at 12:00 pm (Noon).
3. Mandatory Security / All Candidates Meeting: January 31st at 12:00 pm (Noon).
4. Campaign Period: January 31st at 1:00 pm to February 15th at 8:00 pm.
5. Polling Station Statement and Photo Deadline: February 1st at 12:00 pm (Noon).
6. Voting Period: February 14th to February 15th (Polling Stations open from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm).
