Get ready for a battle of wits and strategy! The Giant Chess Tournament is coming to Grassroots Café at KPU Surrey Campus, and this is your chance to showcase your chess skills and claim the crown! Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, this tournament is open to all chess enthusiasts.

Day 1: January 29, 2025 (Preliminary Rounds)
Day 2: January 30, 2025 (Knockout Rounds & Finals)

1:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Grassroots Café, KPU Surrey Campus

Tournament Format

Type: Straight knockout
Players: 20 slots available
Game Duration: 20 minutes per player with a 10-second increment per move
Matches: One game at a time
Schedule: Match schedules will be emailed to registered players.

Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your match time for Day 1.
