Welcome to the KSA’s Free Fresh Produce Program in partnership with Sustainable Agriculture Student Association (SASA)!
We are excited to announce the launch of our new initiative aimed at promoting healthy eating habits and providing fresh, organic produce to our students. This program is currently being run on a trial basis, and we are thrilled to offer this opportunity to the first 15 students who sign up.
At the Kwantlen Student Association, we understand the importance of nutrition and the benefits of consuming locally sourced, organic produce. With this in mind, we have partnered with local farms to bring you a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Here are the key details about our Free Fresh Produce Program:
- Limited Availability: As this program is in its trial phase, we can only accommodate the first 15 students who register. We encourage all interested students to sign up early to secure their spot.
- Organic and Locally Harvested: We take pride in offering you the best quality produce available. All the fruits and vegetables provided in this program are organically grown and sourced from local farms. By choosing organic produce, we aim to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices.
- Bring Your Own Bags: To participate in the program, students are required to bring their own bags at the time of pickup. This helps us reduce waste and ensures that everyone can transport their fresh produce safely and conveniently.
- Community Support: By participating in this program, you not only prioritize your own well-being but also contribute to supporting our community. Your involvement helps us foster a sustainable food system and promotes the growth of local agriculture.
To sign up for the Free Fresh Produce Program, please visit our Surrey Member Services Office to register for this program. Remember, spots are limited, so be sure to secure yours as soon as possible.
And just a quick reminder, we also have a community fridge located at our Richmond Member Services Office. The SASA along with KSA, provides free fresh produce too. Head over there to know more.
We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students and hope that it will make a positive impact on your health and well-being. Stay tuned for updates on the program’s progress and any future expansions. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@kusa.ca
